The DVC-8 series are vibration control systems for use with IBM compatible personal computers; it is essentially a programmable digital waveform generator and data acquisition system with sophisticated control and analysis software. It is designed for controlling a wide variety of swept-sine type vibration tests with ease of use and automated record- keeping.
To begin the installation of the components and software, we need to know:
- The software should be installed on the computer before the hardware is installed.
- Load by inserting the CD into the disk drive and follow the directions and it should automatically install on the hard drive.
- The main screen of Vibration Controller is:
- Then we install the second software, IOtech Daq1000, for recognition PCI card.
- Finally, turn of the computer and install the DVC-8 computer interface card in a PC.
- The DVC-8 Controller module connects to the computer interface card via a short SCSI-3 11D68 male- male cable.
- The controller has 4 channels, which are connected to the accelerometers.
- Now, proceed to plug the Vibration Controller and we see a green light.
- Turn on our computer to the card settings.
- Run the DaqConfiguration control panel applet, select the corresponding board and we run the test; and test results are displayed.
- Next, make the connection from the other components.
- Connect the Vibration Controller the frequency amplifier; as shown below.
- The CE-Series amplifiers are compact, audio power amplifiers designed for professional use. These units provide high-power amplification from 20 Hz-20 kHz with minimum distortion.
- The Crown CE 2000 connects its output directly to the servo motor; as shown in the picture.
- Motor area where will go the device which will get the vibration.
- The motor is connected a type of fan, which will prevent heating thereof.
- Finally, the following images show the Complete installation of the vibrating table and functioning of the software.
- Next we can see a video showing some test funcionalities of the vibration and shock system.
